Description: Marcos Miguel Alvarenga is a deaf-mute Hispanic male born in Honduras on September 30th, 1962. He is one-meter sixty-five centimeters tall and weighed fifty-eight kilograms at the time of his incarceration. He has black hair and brown eyes and an acne-scarred face. Alvarenga has used the names Kevin Cowell and Marcos Miguel Lopez. He should be considered armed and dangerous. The U.S. is seeking Alvarenga's arrest and extradition from Honduras or any other country where he may be hiding. He is also the subject of an arrest notice issued by the international police organization, INTERPOL. Crime Stoppers, a citizens organization, is offering a one-thousand dollar cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Marcos Miguel Alvarenga.
Case Details: In Seattle, Washington, on May 17th, 1983, Laura Boynton, age twenty-two, was found dead in the laundry room of her apartment building. She had been raped, strangled and beaten to death with a brick. The investigation took several years before police were able to identify fingerprints on a Coca-Cola can found at the crime scene. Based on this and other evidence, a Seattle court issued, in February 1989, an arrest warrant for the suspect, a Honduran citizen named Marcos Miguel Alvarenga. Authorities learned that Alvarenga had been deported to Honduras from the U.S. in 1986 after a series of assaults on women, including the stabbing of one Seattle woman, for which he served a brief sentence in jail.
(According to archived FBI international crime alert website) If you have information concerning Marcos Miguel Alvarenga, you should contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. The identities of all informants will be kept confidential.

Thoughts? Marcos Alvarenga was another cold-case fugitive I found on an archived law enforcement website. I checked the Washington State Court Records page and there has been no movement on this case since 1989 which indicates that Marcos Alvarenga is sadly still wanted as of March 30th, 2016.
With Marcos committing several violent crimes against women in the US back in the 1980s including the sex-slaying of Laura Boynton, who knows how many more crimes he has since committed if he is back in Honduras. He is an extremely dangerous fugitive and under extradition laws he would not be able to be sent to the US from Honduras at the moment.
