Oh wow I've seen that page before! Yeah the FBI has pages for Jason Derek Brown and Fidel Urbina and there's some started by family members like Find Chris Ponce but I am surprised Fugitive facebook pages still aren't more prevalent.

And then everything else (if he's alive) will work itself out. I noticed it's now been a decade Hiers has been on the run. For some reason, because of that number, I actually feel somewhat hopeful for the airing this weekend. It seems a lot of these guys get caught at milestones like that. Hiers is still on my dirty dozen for what he allegedly did (I realize he's innocent until proven guilty, still, but I rank based on what's alleged). So it would be nice to see The Hunt get someone from my list this season. (Although obviously it's only been a day and a half after the Yaser Said airing and he's also on my list). |

New updated article about Hiers and his upcoming airing on The Hunt. Interestingly, the girl who says Hiers molested air will be on camera this time. She's now an adult obviously I'm assuming. Do you think this is an actual photo of Hiers or an age enhancement/alteration? I've never seen this photo before, but then again, I'm sure there are many photos of him that haven't been publicized.

I think it's more an age enhancement or alteration of what he may look like today.
So many unanswered questions. Supposedly, the AMW airings, despite never catching Dan, generated great leads on him. Perhaps it's The Hunt that will finally not only answer the question of whether Dan is alive or dead- but where he wound up as well. All the families involved in this case deserve the closure.

Crime Watch Daily segment was interesting. The mother of Lauren was interview for the first time, interestingly enough. One Marshal said they received tips all over, including even the United Kingdom and Australia. That is the first time I've ever heard those locations before.

Didn't even realize the CW article claims he was spotted at a casino in Michigan City, Indiana in 2006. They also claim possible sightings in Mexico and Canda, and I also remember an article a few years ago about a possible sighting in Colorado. The problem I see with Dan Hiers- if he's still alive- is much like Jason Derek Brown- he looks like your average next-door neighbor and can blend in many places. He is tall and has a distinctive Southern drawl that likely hasn't gone away- but he also has the All-American look to him. Also, only mentioning this for tip/recognition purposes and not trying to make a joke, but the same way Jason Derek Brown is said to look like Sean Penn, I've seen many people say Hiers looks like Matt Damon. I can see somewhat of a resemblance but I don't think it's as uncanny as JDB with Sean Penn and I don't think Matt Damon's stunt double is getting arrested any time soon.  |

It also didn't help that AMW constantly used that photo of Hiers in his uniform, because according to one of the show's airings, most of Hiers' friends and acquaintances said he was actually heavier than he was in that photo. He looked more like his mugshot, which AMW aired as a secondary photo and not primary photo.
Later on AMW simply took a screenshot from that video Hiers shot while on vacation with Mila shortly before her death, since that technically was the last photo taken of him.

If Dan Heirs is NOT the murderer, why is he alluding authority? Did he flee because of the molestation charges? Did he flee before his wife's murder? Scratches an defensive marks... Those could've come from her attempts in defending herself from her husband. Why did he not stand up an fight for justice inbehalf of his wife's vicious an callous murder? Why did neighbors report him walking in an out of the home on the day of her murder? If she was murdered between the A.M. hours an Noon, what time did the neighbors notice Dan's in an out activity? Was there any surveillance cameras in the hospital parking lot that would've captured footage of the last person to drive an park her Aveo at the hospital?

Hiers must be extremely smart or very good connections to escape law enforcement for such a long time. Pretty sure, he lives under another identity and with a very discrete way of behaving, maybe he even dyed his hair who knows.

Okay since the marshals fugitive threads have been rather lonely I decided more attention needs to be given.
Now Dan Hiers being a former cop makes everything really difficult to track him down since he knows police tactics really well.
Now that it's been 11 years it should be worth noting he probably fled down to Brazil since his ex wife was from Brazil and since he probably went there when they got married then perhaps he felt right at home.
Mexico would be the only other place he would have gone since he needed a place to run to and not be noticed, as I've said before you can run for so long in the states that law enforcement will catch up with the fugitive.
