On March 31, 1974, George and his brother Larry escaped from San Quentin State Prison where they were both serving life sentences for murder. They were convicted for the 1969 murders of two Black Panther leaders, John Huggins and Alprentice Carter on the UCLA Campus. Larry spent years on the run until his surrender in the South American nation of Suriname in 1994. He was then paroled in February 2015 while refusing to say anything about George's whereabouts.

Thoughts? I was aware of George Stiner's case for quite awhile but it took forever to find a photo of him. I had to go through various archived law enforcement websites till I managed to locate it. As for where George Stiner would be today, probably somewhere in South America. He would only be 69-years old right now so it's quite possible that he's still alive after 42 years on the run.
Based on archived law enforcement websites, ouradvice for anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of George Stiner would be to contact the Marin County District Attorney's Office at 415-473-6450.
Also any news-related updates on this case can be forwarded to us at amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form
UPDATE from site admin: As far as I can tell, Stiner is still at large as of this update (7/29/2018), since I haven't found anything online suggesting otherwise. However, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
