Lester Lambert - Pennsylvania - 1992

I knew about this case but was somewhat hesitant to post it because I read about there was some sort of racial issue involving this case (I would have posted it eventually had you not beat me to it but this case is a very sensitive issue to maneuver and respect all sides), apparently the paper that covered the story was accused of always creating stories about black murderers or something like that.

I've been on the record on this forum that part of the reason we see the ignorant stereotypes that African-Americans are more violent or commit more murders is because of how the system has unfairly treated many of them, giving them harsher sentences for the same crimes white people were convicted of, making the court system all about how much money you have and making it more difficult for black people than white people to protest wrongful convictions, not giving them the same job opportunities as whites to earn a honest living, etc... however this is one case that didn't have to be made racial. Philadelphia has a large minority population. Lester Lambert happened to be black. He allegedly killed Christian Ludwig because he's a cold-blooded killer, not because he's black.

That's not to say Philadelphia newspaper coverage wasn't biased back in 1992, I didn't live in Philadelphia and didn't read Philadelphia newspapers back then, but that this particular case did not have to be made racial. Christian Ludwig deserves better for his memory, and hopefully Mr. Lambert can still be apprehended and face justice for what he allegedly did.
