On Thursday, July 29, 2010, Thomas Roy (Tommy) Vaughan was found deceased in the fenced-in yard of his business, Fort Williams Military Surplus and Supply Depot at 703 N. Williams in Amarillo. Tommy Vaughan was severely beaten to death. This incident is believed to have occurred on the morning of Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Tommy Vaughan was a military veteran who proudly served his country. Tommy enjoyed having a business in which he could meet other veterans and persons interested in the service of their country.
Based on media publications, anyone with information regarding Thomas Vaughan's murder should contact Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.

Thoughts? Usually when someone is killed at their business, it's during the commission of a robbery, although we aren't certain if that's what happened here. Very tragic as well that Thomas survived military combat only to be beaten to death where he should have been safe.
