AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT (CHILD) - $20,000 BOND
PAYAN is wanted for sexually assaulting his then stepdaughter back in 2001.
Several years ago, Payan began fondling & inappropriately touching his stepdaughter who was 8 years old at the time. He went on to sexually assault her. In recent years, the Victim (who is now 15-will not be identified) came forward to make her outcry.
Sheriff’s Detectives have issued out a warrant for the apprehension of Mario Payan.
Recent information received indicates Payan has been spotted as recent as 2 weeks ago. He is said to be driving a brown truck and doing landscaping work in the Northeast part of El Paso, TX.
The offender has contacts in the Westway area located in the Upper Valley as well as in the southern New Mexico area.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts or has seen PAYAN or other fugitives featured on “MANHUNT MONDAY” is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 546-2280 or Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477). Callers will remain anonymous & may be eligible for a reward if the information provided leads to the apprehension of the individuals featured.

Thoughts? The El Paso County Sheriff's Office website recently updated their website to list who is still wanted as of 2017 from their Manhunt Monday/Top 10 Most Wanted list. Although I do believe the "spotted two weeks ago" may be from when Payan was first added to their website a few years ago.
