On August 24, 1979, the body of Linda K. Woodruff of St. Charles, KY, was discovered at what use to be the Kwik Pick Store on South Main Street in Madisonville. She was working at the store as a clerk when she was shot. No money was taken. Linda Woodruff was a 28-year-old, white, female. Anyone with information concerning this investigation, is urged to contact KSP Detective Lloyd Ray or the KSP Post 2 Madisonville at 1-270-676-3313 or toll-free in Kentucky at 1-800-222-5555.
