 Above Photo Credit: Idaho State Journal website -- In 2014, Daniel Magana went to the home of Miguel Davatos in Bingham County, Idaho. Daniel was looking for a certain individual and became enraged when that person was not at Miguel's home. Authorities say that Daniel then shot Miguel to death. In 2015, an arrest warrant was issued for Daniel who is believed to be somewhere in Mexico. So that's how I knew the motive even when recently the 2017 Post Register news article full summary became available to just "premium subscribers". I guess they don't have a system in place and it might be too complicated to not make all articles expire after a certain date, but I really wish unsolved crime stories the public could help out on could be saved. |

Haven't found any updates since the last article HeadMarshal found but since that article is from 2017 I feel it's still safe to reasonably assume that Magana is still at large as of this update. (6/23/2018).
