The occupant of the other vehicle, Ruperto Baylon died from the head-on collision. Nicholas was arrested and charged right after the crime, but soon fled. --Thoughts? Even though Nicholas Garcia-Morales was only profiled on an archived version of the Lake County Most Wanted page, I did confirm through that county's court records page that his 1998 reckless homicide charge still shows as "warrant" meaning he's still wanted. The county still has a Most Wanted page, they just aren't featuring him for some reason. I no longer see Garcia-Morales on the new Lake County Most Wanted listing. www.lakecountyil.gov/3267/Most-WantedThey supposedly have a pdf current warrants listing but that page isn't loading for me, so I unfortunately don't feel comfortable enough to confirm Garcia-Morales as still being wanted as of this update. (7/2/2018). Of course, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know. |

Thanks! OK so we can now say he is still wanted as of July 2nd, 2018 LOL. (I wish he wasn't wanted and am only happy we have some sort of record to keep track, not happy that he's still at large of course).

As of today, July 4, 2024, Nicholas still has a listed warrant, according to the Lake County Sheriff Active Warrant PDF document. I also checked PACER and did not see a UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case for Nicholas.
