A manhunt is underway in Central Texas for a man accused of targeting single mothers so that he can sexually abuse their children. US Marshals want to capture him before he can abuse his next victim, according to News 4 San Antonio.
"We're looking for Tomas Gutierrez," Supervisory Deputy Marshal Hector Gomez. "He also goes by the name of Tomas Hernandez."
Gutierrez is 35 years old and is wanted for continuous sexual abuse of a child.
"He's an opportunist," Gomez said, adding that the suspect allegedly builds trust with his victims at a slow and methodical pace. He starts by gaining the trust of the mothers, according to Breibart. "He appears to seek out women who have children. Young children."
Gomez said that Gutierrez bought toys for the child, according to the report.
"Tomas Gutierrez gave her a cell phone to use and told her to go into the bedroom,β an arrest warrant indicated.
"When the victim's mother was away from the home working is when Tomas Gutierrez began his criminal conduct," Gomez said.
The U.S. Marshals are struggling to locate Gutierrez, who has no criminal history. He has been known to work trade jobs in Austin, Texas according to Gomez. The suspect has his name tattooed on his left arm.
"He has been able to live here in virtual anonymity," Gomez said. βHe has lived in this country illegally. We don't know when he came in. He doesn't have so much as a traffic ticket."
Gomez said that any child that Gutierrez comes into contact is a potential victim.β

Thoughts? Adding this as breaking news case because of serious charges involved. Although Gutierrez has been profiled on Oxygen's blog I don't think the channel himself has profiled him on television so I'm keeping this in the exclusive fugitives section for now.
