 (Above photo credit: San Joaquin County government website) Fugitive Profile as of August 31st, 2014 (Based on San Joaquin County Most Wanted website): Name: (Suspect) Pedro VACA Race: Hispanic Sex: male DOB: 06/08/66 Height: 5-6 Weight: 140 lbs Hair Color: Blk Eye Color: Brn Who to call if you've seen him: San Joaquin County Homicide Unit (209) 468-4403Pedro Vaca has been wanted for just about 25 years in connection with the murder of a teenage girl. I don't know if he was ever aired on AMW in the 1990s. On Aug 6, 1989, authorities in San Joaquin County, California say 21-year old Pedro Vaca, 46-year old Antonio Vaca (Pedro's uncle), and 30-year old Miguel Delgado, picked up a 16-year old girl in Clements. The men took her to a labor camp in order to have sexual intercourse. After that, she was shot to death with a shotgun. Antonio and Miguel were arrested and confessed to some participation in the murder (although I don't know what sentences they got if they were convicted, nothing online talks about this). Pedro got on a southbound greyhound bus and fled. On Aug 28, 1989, authorities used dental charts to identify the girl as 15 or 16-year old (depending on the source used) Marilyn Tosh Hutchinson, a runaway since January 1988 from Oregon and a member of the Siletz Indian Tribe. Thoughts? One of the archived newspaper articles mentioned that the arrested men were from Juanajuato, Mexico which I think is a typo for the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Pedro is probably also from that state. This reminds me a bit of the Julio Ceja/Jose Garibay AMW case except that I'm not sure if these girl knew these men and unfortunately she didn't survive. In that case, at least one suspect fled to Mexico, and the same probably happened here.

I hope pedro gets caught I miss my sister so much. closer is all that matters... For me and my family ..I'm interested on how much time the other two guys got  ? Any ideas or suggestions I was very young when she got murder and very sadden  I heard a lot of different stories about my sisters death in the end the truth will come out. I just need closer so I'm going to start sharing hes picture I on all social media... And I pray Americas most wanted runs he's face until he's caught.... |

Hi maddy,
I'm terribly sorry for the loss of your sister. She died way too young.
Unfortunately there is not a lot of information online for the other two participants, I looked up the California inmate search and don't see their names listed. I also can't find any information on sentences.
26 years is way too long to wait for justice. It took John Walsh himself 27 years to find out who killed his son. I do hope one day Pedro Vaca can finally be caught.

I went and visited my sister today where she is bury I put a bench in Front of her headstone it looks very nice. I know many years have passed it still hurts that my sister is gone. I can only hope one day I will be able to have an opportunity to speak to Pedro vaca if he's caught. I have heard so many stories and others that where involved or knew something about what happened. My cousin told me just recently there was a girl talking about my sisters death my cousin she didn't want to hear about it because she thought that it was not right for her to be talking about my sister Death so freely. She has given me a name to this lady. I love my sister and I know that my sister would want me to forgive all persons involved. My desire to know the truth isn't to start problems or hurt anyone. I just want to know the true story of what happened . Ty for the update and it is great to know that my sisters killer hasnt fell through the cracks of anonymous but there is a name and a picture of him still circulating I Wonder what he look like presently... I figured it was perfect timing since we started discussing Vaca again that I make him fugitive of the week for this week (every week I pick a new fugitive to be on the front page of the site for 7 days in the hopes of getting the manhunt for them more attention).
He will remain on our front page until the end of July 1st.

Can anyone figure out if San Joaquin County has a Most Wanted page anymore? They seemed to have joined the list of counties that are doing the right thing by publicizing a list of unsolved homicides but not homicide cases with fugitive suspects. www.sjgov.org/sheriff/coldcases1980.htmlMarilyn's case isn't listed there. I'm pretty doubtful that Pedro Vaca has been located to date unfortunately, so it appears he's still at large (no new media reports to prove otherwise). |
