Was browsing through the FBI Top Ten List FAQ page and came across the stats for fugitives added per state that the warrant was issued out of. I feel this might be of interest to some of our posters. Alabama 11 Alaska 0 Arizona 10 Arkansas 5 California 58 Colorado 8 Connecticut 4 Delaware 1 Florida 22 Georgia 18 Hawaii 0 Idaho 3 Illinois 38 Indiana 13 Iowa 4 Kansas 13 Kentucky 9 Louisiana 7 Maine 5 Maryland 19 Massachusetts 15 Michigan 20 Minnesota 5 Mississippi 5 Missouri 11 Montana 2 Nebraska 2 Nevada 6 New Hampshire 1 New Jersey 10 New Mexico 4 New York 33 North Carolina 9 North Dakota 0 Ohio 21 Oklahoma 7 Oregon 7 Pennsylvania 20 Rhode Island 0 South Carolina 3 South Dakota 2 Tennessee 19 Texas 16 Utah 5 Vermont 1 Virginia 8 Washington 11 West Virginia 3 Wisconsin 8 Wyoming 2 Washington, DC 14 Should be noted that the only states to not have representation (luckily) by a Top Ten fugitive are Alaska, Hawaii, North Dakota and Rhode Island. I'm also surprised Texas isn't up higher in total additions since it's the second most populated state in the US. Thoughts? www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/ten-most-wanted-fugitives-faq (Ctrl + F search "Crime Locations By State/Region")

Interesting. I'm actually mildly surprised at Alaska and Hawaii not having representation- part of the reason the FBI adds someone to the list- is besides potential danger- if they think publicity would help catch them. You'd think a Hawaii or Alaska fugitive would stand out or be unique. (there has to have been some Hawaii and Alaska cases although rare).
It's very surprising Texas only has 16, although the smaller states ahead of it have big cities in those states. Maryland- Baltimore, Illinois- Chicago etc...

Also here’s the current make up of the Top Ten by state
Robert Fisher - Arizona
Alexis Flores - Pennsylvania
Jason Derek Brown - Arizona
Eduardo Ravelo - Texas
William Bradford Bishop - Maryland
Yaser Said - Texas
Bhadreshkumar Patel - Maryland
Santiago Villalba Mederos - Washington State
Alejandro Castillo - North Carolina
Rafael Caro-Quintero(?) - Committed his crime in Mexico, not wanted by an FBI field office despite being on the Ten Most Wanted List, but was added at the request of the DEA HQ in Arlington, Virginia. He’s also being sought by the U.S. Dept of State.
