On May 9, 1992 at around 1am, Frostproof, Florida authorities say that Luis Rey Bernal was at one of their local bars. At the time Luis was acting unruly so the bartender and two other men were trying to move him out of their bar. That's Luis allegedly pulled a gun and shot the three victims, wounding all three of them. Luis then fled and has been a fugitive for the past 26 years.
Based on reporting agencies (according to the Florida Statewide Warrant Search) it is advised to contact local authorities at (863) 298-6268 if you have any information regarding Luis Rey Bernal's whereabouts.

Thoughts? As part of our policy, I will only post fugitive cases from an archived law enforcement page if I can confirm the case is still active by a court records page. The Polk County shows the majority of the case activity in 1992 with entries afterwards only being asa of records and returned files, so I can confirm that Luis is still at large as of today, July 23, 2018. The Florida Statewide Warrant Search also had a still active warrant.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement once had a THUGS page on wanted fugitives across the state up until 2007 I believe. The profiles included William Claybourne Taylor and Svetlana Vitman. Luis was on another of those profiles. Hopefully the state of Florida considers bring back the THUGS page as the fugitive publicity would be extremely helpful.
As far as Luis's whereabouts go, the Newslibrary article mentioned Luis was a migrant labourer, so if he's not in Latin America, I can see him in another Southern state doing migrant work.
