The ID Discovery schedule for January 23 has the two main fugitive cases revealed. - John will be profiling Jihad Ramadan (912th's prediction was correct since the episode title was "Campus Tragedy" - Callahan will be working on the Thayne Smika manhunt. And we also have the main cases for January 30th confirmed. - John will be profiling Raymond McLeod (hence why the episode is titled "Deadly Poser") - Callahan will be working on the Maurice Nesbitt manhunt. www.investigationdiscovery.com/schedule

Oh not to discredit 912th but it seemed it was Jihad Ramadan, just there could have been like a 5 percent chance it was Gloria Schulze. Actually since Thayne Smika allegedly killed a college student (Sid Wells) the title could refer to his profile as well.
Raymond McLeod has a good chance at direct capture imo but is likely in Belize so it looks like Maurice Nesbitt for our best chance at an early direct capture (depending on who gets their 15 seconds of shame).

I know this is late, but I just watched the first episode of In Pursuit and to be honest, its sorta like they took AMW and The Hunt and smooshed then together except it’s not premiering on a Friday or Sunday night, but what distinguishes this show from both AMW and The Hunt is Callahan being involved and giving interviews to investigators and the victims families, that’s why In Pursuit is Unique.
I like how they feature missing persons and once again have their 15 seconds of shame, in that single episode they profiled 2 cases which were the meat of the episode, and featured brief case summaries for 2 missing persons and gave 2 fugitives their 15 seconds of shame.
In total that’s 6 cases that have gotten international attention thanks to In Pursuit 😊. I love this show right away compared to The Hunt, which took me 4 episodes to actually get used to.

I don't want to bash The Hunt just because we like the new show.
I enjoyed The Hunt as well (although like you it took me a while to get used to the format).
Although admittedly this does work out better since more cases will be aired and the show is now on an actual crime channel as opposed to CNN/HLN (HLN is a crime-ish channel if that's a word but was a more a smaller sister variety/news channel to a bigger news channel).

Is there any way to watch the episodes if I didn’t record them? I know The Hunt had CNN streaming but I’m unsure if In Pursuit does

Yes! As I told toptenhunter earlier in the thread, all episodes become available on the ID Go app a few hours after airing.

By any chance is Lamont Stephenson going to be aired next week? The FBI just bumped him up to the Top of the section (despite the government shutdown) after having Rafael Caro-Quintero bumped to the top of the section for the last 32 days.

I think next week is Raymond McLeod and Maurice Nesbitt according to HeadMarshal so Lamont is probably sometime in February.

3 comments about the first episode of In Pursuit:
*Callahan was born in 1987, but without his facial shadow, he might look to me as young as '993. I hope America's future has a long-running crime-fighting dynasty in the works.
*One more scary thing about the crime scene photos in the Luis Octavio Frias case. I saw what looked like diapers laying on the floor, and I really hope Octavio and Atocha weren't watching after the kids in squalor.
*With nearly all fugitives, the danger they could strike again carries profound gravity, but Harold Wesley "Butch" Knight stands out in this regard, because even if cops have a huge treasure trove of clues on him from and subsequent murders he might commit, he still knows how to slip away. I'm afraid that, if Wesley strikes again, there may be no way to catch him red-handed.

It is weird and contradictory as I consider Butch Knight to be possibly the dumbest fugitive that may never be caught. I really hope he is caught but what I mean by that is he keeps giving away clues to his location, but his lifestyle and looks like your average grandpa are not likely to arouse suspicion and thus means he can stay on the run for years like that, and with his health problems, who knows if he'll die before capture. So yeah in summary I feel he may be hard to catch despite his being dumb as opposed to because of his being smart. I am in no way saying I don't think he'll be caught but the aforementioned would be the reasons. I hope for Sara's family he is caught. The good news is Canada gets the ID channel is Butch is hiding there. I am glad you got to watch the first episode though. I agree that Callahan looks young for his age! But so does John!

Ok saw the new episode.
First the spoilers, already stated earlier in their respective threads that Kayla Unbehaun and Sophie Reeder would be the missing children featured. The 15 seconds of shame fugitives were Andrea Heming and Jose Salinas-Rangal.
-The profile of Jihad Ramadan/B.J. Bryant's story was well done. I don't mean to make light and/or sound like I'm complaining about someone who is a crime victim's statements, but as a native New Yorker, I wanted to say we're not all like the group that harassed B.J. and his friends and felt there was kind of shade, albeit unintentional, thrown at New Yorkers. While it is true some New Yorkers have an arrogance to them and don't realize the rest of the country is VERY different from NYC, New Yorkers are for the most part nice and helpful but very busy people and these young punks were just poor representations.
It's just since it was said this group may have viewed others as hicks, we should also not stereotype the other way as well.
-In 2007, investigators noticed a father's day card from Jihad when following up at the residence but were denied a search warrant from a judge to search the entire home. Why? That is probably EXACTLY why Jihad is still at large.
-Jihad's father has reportedly been unhelpful and did not turn Jihad in when David Ifill (the man who was essentially the initial cause of the fight in the first place and fled afterwards) did at the request of his family.
I also get why no charges were filed against Ifill. It seems the New Yorkers while they did engage in a fight with B.J. and his friends, NONE of them expected Jihad to use a knife. It doesn't excuse their actions, but only Jihad seemed to have intent to kill.
-Thayne Smika was essentially a redux of The Hunt profile but still felt a little fresh thanks to Callahan's involvement. I can see where this story touched Callahan as he interviewed one of Sid's brothers. (Sorry I'm blanking on the name). While Callahan was not alive when Adam was tragically murdered he still has/had a brother who was killed at a young age in the 1980's and waited decades for justice. I thought Callahan did a nice job of connecting like John used to when he would do interview segments.
And yes in retrospect Thayne Smika manhunt does not seem as cold as most cold cases since the warrant was issued in 2011.
Hopefully like every episode we will see a direct capture. With Jihad Ramadan at least, it seems there are multiple people who know where he is and it is up to them to do the right thing.

Oh wow even more of a connection than I had thought. On Callahan's follow-up to tonight's episode on Facebook, he interviews a reporter for the Boulder Daily Camera. It turns out that reporter was actually with John Walsh in his New York City hotel room when John received word Adam's remains had been identified. I didn't realize John wasn't alone, and that moment must have been surreal.
