 (Above photo credit: amw.com archives) Christopher Adams is wanted out of Virginia on child sex crime charges. He was aired in 2006 and 2008 (both were probably 15 SOS airings). Authorities in Colonial Heights, Virginia say that from Dec 1, 1998 and Jun 30, 2002, Adams repeatedly molested two young girls he knew very well. One of the victims came forward which led to the discovery of the second victim. However he skipped town before his trial which was scheduled for Mar 29, 2005. He was spotted working construction in Virginia Beach, Virginia before his trial. Thoughts? The problem with locating Adams is that he could be working in construction or working with vehicles or computers. He also has family in Virginia, New York and Pennsylvania. He seems like someone who would blend in very well and has probably made a new life for himself easily. Honestly I don't think this guy should be too hard to catch. He has family on the east coast and has a srugical scar and a deep, voice. Maybe if AMW aired him for longer than 15 seconds and emphasized these traits he may have been spotted by now.
He's probably still out on the East coast living close to Virginia doing construction.

I no longer see Adams listed as wanted on the Virginia State Police website and that Central Virginia wanted link is from a few years ago. So I currently can't confirm if Adams is still at large as of this update (7/21/2018). If anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are more than welcome to let us know.

Just wanted to mention a source told me Adams is in fact still at large (at least as of now in July 2019)

Annoyed that Christopher Adams has been confirmed to still be at large for 14 years now. Unfortunately, my original prediction that he probably blended into a new life somewhere seems to be the actual case.
I still think this is a solvable manhunt. The State of Virginia putting fugitives back on their police website would help.

I wish Colonial Heights and VSP would put him back on their website. I know this monster. Yes, he is still at large. In addition to a surgical scar on his throat from a tracheotomy which gives him a hoarse, raspy voice- he has major scars on his legs where they had be shortened as a child for a bone disease. His limp is pronounced and he did not wear corrective shoes, but may to disguise it now. I don't know how he could have evaded capture all these years. He is a jack of all trades though and can do auto work, computers, construction and the like. He could be anywhere-he used to live in Clearwater/St Petersburg, FL also.

Hi kblack, Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your posting, although I am sorry for why you're here. I frankly am quite shocked at how he's managed to elude capture for this long as well. Your information is very good though and appreciated. For what it's worth, I do have a connection at In Pursuit that I give fugitive suggestions to before the start of every season. Unfortunately, they already picked their cases for this current (second) season, but Adams will be on my list to give that connection whenever season 3 starts. There's no guarantee and the show won't pick everyone I suggest, they turn down hundreds of cases a week and prefer to go with more recent cases, but it's worth a shot at least. I don't mean to bash AMW which I grew up and enjoyed watching but I do feel it was a missed opportunity in the 2000s that Adams was only a 15 seconds of shame segment or not profiled for very long. I think he might have been caught if they went into more detail. For now though, let's just hope he's finally caught one day and I am frustrated as well Adams is still at large, although I do understand I can't possibly be as frustated as you. -Scumhunter |
