Maria Elvia Larios has been wanted for over 20 years in connection with the death of a child. I don't know if she was profiled on AMW back in the 1990s.
Maria Larios was the babysitter for one-year old Jose Shaw in San Diego. Jose's parents began to notice small scratches and bruising on their son, but Larios convincingly explained the injuries. On March 2, 1993, Larios made an emergency call saying Jose had fallen from a bed and Jose was rushed to a hospital. Physicians determined that Jose had suffered from shaken baby syndrome and Larios was interviewed. She fled to Mexico on March 5, 1993 after agreeing to appear for a second interview. Three days after that, Jose died from his injuries.
Thoughts? Larios may be in the Tijuana-Mexicali area of Mexico, and has family in Tijuana (Tijuana borders San Diego). She would be 68-years old at the time I posted this thread so she may have become a retiree in Mexico.
