ROSELAWN, Ohio (WKRC) - A close-knit family gathers the day before Thanksgiving knowing that Thursday, one person will be missing from the table.
Someone murdered Dina Mosley in 2017. Her family still has no answers for who took her life and why. Mosley was Precious McKinney's aunt, but the two were close like sisters.
"She was just a great, loving person," McKinney said. "It's just one of the biggest tragedies that we have ever went through, and we're lost and know that someone is out there. They know something that...can help our family."
The day she was murdered, Mosley spent most of Thanksgiving with her family.
Her sister, Rita Miller, said, "The person that's responsible for taking Dina's life, they just don't know how much of an impact it's had to how bad and devastating that's been."
Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit Commander, Dave Johnston, said, "We need the help to the public. Anyone that knows some information -- this was really somebody that was an innocent victim."
Cincinnati police believe that night Mosley may have been going to hang out at Nephews on Reading Road in Roselawn. Lieutenant Johnston described what investigators have learned.
"The car that had the suspect in it or suspects was backing into this parking spot right here. Then, Ms. Mosley came around the corner. She came eastbound on Stonybrook and she turned and was starting to pull into this parking spot right here," Lt. Johnston said.
Police believe Mosley was shot after a brief exchange with whoever was in the other car. Bullets riddled her car door.
Johnston continued, "She pulls out and she goes around the corner up onto the sidewalk in front of Nephews, exits her vehicle and then collapses on the sidewalk."
Investigators hope to breathe new life into this case. The family is hoping someone will step up so that the person who killed Mosley doesn't have a chance to do it to someone else.
"Dina, she had a life and her life mattered," Miller said.
