(Above photo credit: sarasotasheriff.org) From the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office website- Unsolved Crimes section: On December 1, 1999 the body of Esco Hunter was discovered in a field near the railroad tracks in the area of 44th St. and Central Ave. Esco’s death has been ruled a homicide. Esco’s 1998 maroon van was found at the dead-end of Orange Avenue north of Myrtle St. The van had been burned as a result of arson. Esco was from the Miami area and was involved with rap music. www.sarasotasheriff.org/news/unsolved_crimes.phpThoughts? I realize there isn't the most to work with here but what is interesting about this case is another man, Zanniel Leverett was found dead along the same railroad tracks just four years later. So far I cannot find anything officially suggesting the two crimes are related. www.heraldtribune.com/news/20030222/detectives-man-in-woods-slainwww.thescoopradioshow.com/north-sarasotas-killing-field-along-railroad-tracks-between-44th-46th-street-and-central-ave-two-unsolved-murders/Admin Note #1: Axcording to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office website, anyone having information on this case is asked to please contact Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations at (941) 861-4900.
