First off, let me state who this case is really about, Keith Palomares, and getting justice for him.
With that being said, the manhunt for Jason Derek Brown has (for the fugitives not yet been caught) probably been the most discussed FBI top ten case for this century. It has captured crime sleuths intrigue, but unfortunately not led to an arrest. As a result, there have been a lot of theories and everyone has an opinion on where he may be hiding or opinion on the manhunt in general.
Since there are so many, I figured instead of just asking on a thread I'd make an actual poll since I think it would be interesting to see how close or far off we are if he is ever caught and since it's a prediction as opposed to discussion.
I hate to say if and not when, but it is sad reality we have to consider the possibility since the case is now nearly 15 years old. I do hope he is caught one day, and does face consequences for his alleged actions.
I almost started selecting specific geographical regions but that would have led to too many options, so instead I basically just mentioned general geography but specified if there is a specific area often discussed as a possible hiding spot for Brown (for instance I only said Canada but British Columbia has been most often mention as a possible hiding spot- I accidentally said Vancouver instead of the province but I guess the general gist is still there).
I still voted for Asia as I still think there was something to the Thailand rumors since they came out shortly after a Dateline NBC special profiling the manhunt. My feeling is it probably led to tips and seeing the recent "capture" of Dan Hiers in China (Marshals won't confirm or not confirm), there does seem to be precedent for Amercian fugitives long gone for a while fleeing to Asia.
As much as it an interesting case to discuss and gets people to register and join our forum, I'm really sick and tired of this case not being solved and want to get justice for Keith already. So I do hope one day we get to look back on this poll. I don't care about being right or not, I care about Brown finally being caught.
