First off, I understand this is a depressing topic title. AMW was an amazing show that caught a lot of bad guys (and hopefully The Hunt will too!) But while thankfully most fugitives do get caught, unfortunately, percentage-wise it is impossible for EVERY fugitive to get caught. Sad to say, some will get away with it, but AMW, and crime sleuths like us , make our best possible efforts to make sure that most don't.
I think a good example is technically Dennis Lilly. He died at a relatively young age at 64, but since he was never caught before he passed away, you can say he technically got away with it.
Also, I realize this is a somewhat depressing topic but can also be a positive topic if a guy we thought would never get caught winds up getting caught. I will gladly eat crow. I care more about justice than whether or not I'm right. Anyway, here are some AMW-aired fugitives I feel will never get caught. It will be interesting to look back on this thread in a few years and see who we were right and wrong about!:
Donald Euegene Webb- I think it's safe to say he's deceased, especially considering even the FBI seemed to imply so when they removed him from their top 10 list.
Victor Gerena- On the run for the longest tenure ever on the FBI's top 10 list and deep down in a country where he can't be extradited. Considering it's said he didn't even get to keep a lot of the money he stole, I wonder if he's even alive anymore.
Loretto Villar- All we have is a poor photo of him from decades ago and he might be in Cuba.
Moe Atat- Unfortunately, we know where he is, but he can't be extradited. And I don't see that changing anytime in the near future.
Larry Porter Chism- I see Chism as living a similar life to Dennis Lilly, in a small suburb somewhere living a normal life not drawing suspicion. I wouldn't be surprised if he also eventually passed away in plain sight.
Who are some of your fugitives you feel sadly may never be caught? Don't worry about being wrong, because this is a thread where we WANT to be wrong.
