From Fox 61 Connecticut (fox61.com): (2016 story)
HARTFORD--It's been 11 years since Edward "Little Man" Bell was shot and killed on the south side of Hartford, and police need help to close the cold case.
On May 6, 2005, gun shots rang out on George Street in Hartford after a fistfight. Bell was shot multiple times, and died 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital.
Bell was involved with crime in Hartford, but he was a family man as well and left behind children who want their father's killer found.
Initially, there were a lot of anonymous tips called in, but not enough to solve the crime.
Police say that the cold case card deck that's handed out in state correctional facilities has produced two leads from convicts recently, and they hope that between that information and help from people in the neighborhood that they can bring justice to Bell's family.
"There's a hole in my heart that no cardiologist could ever fix," said Bell's mother, pleading with the rest of her family for anyone with information to come forward.
