Thoughts? As of this posting date (1/13/2020), Alvarez-Medina still shows as having a warrant in Sedgwick County's online search results: ssc.sedgwickcounty.org/SheriffWarrants/WarrantDetailForm.aspx?wantId=233829
As for the case itself, Medina-Alvarez, along with a man named Eduardo Gallardo and an unnamed 15-year-old juvenile were/are accused in the November 2019 murder of 17-year-old Ramiro Valdez in Witchita, Kansas. According to a local news report:
"Police alleged that 17-year-old Ramiro Valdez was driving a blue pickup when a black pickup driven by Gallardo began following him.
Someone in Gallardo's pickup allegedly fired a rifle multiple times, striking Valdez.
Following the incident, Capt. Brent Allred with the Wichita Police Department said the shooting was "in reference to an ongoing gang feud."
Valdez's family disputed that he was a gang member. He was about to start his senior year at North High School."

Thoughts? The article mentions Gallardo making a court appearance and nothing mentions the juvenile defendant so I am assuming Alvarez-Medina is the only defendant still-at-large in this case.
As for the gang member thing, it doesn't matter whether Valdez was a gang member or not as (and I know I sound like a broken record) the taking of someone's life is never justifiable unless in self-defense. Even if Valdez was a gang member, he was only 17 with time to turn his life around. (I realize I just posted a case earlier where I felt the suspect needed to get caught but didn't feel sorry for the 19-year-old victim, that case is different since the victim had killed someone).
