Marcelino Diaz-Rivera was a web-exclusive AMW case initially. Although his archived profile goes to an error page for the full-profile, I was able to transcribe the main details of his case through an AMW radio segment:
"On May 22nd, 2009 cops say that Marcelino Diaz-Rivera enjoyed some visitation time with his 1-year old child. That evening he returned the child to his ex-girlfriend at her apartment complex near Portland, Oregon. Allegedly Diaz-Rivera talked to the woman about getting back together again. When she refused, cops say that the former lovers got into a serious argument. And they say the verbal battle ended when Diaz-Rivera pulled out a gun and shot the woman four times as their infant child watched. The woman survived her serious injuries and I.D.'d Marcelino Diaz-Rivera as her shooter. Cops say he could be hiding in Oregon, California, or Mexico."

Thoughts? What is it with the Portland, Oregon area and these obsessed boyfriend cases? Alvaro Alvarado, Mauricio Beltran-Trejo and this guy. I think this is a pretty underrated case as well. I HATE fugitives who commit crimes in front of children which is why I did jumping jacks when Chuy Canales was caught. Ironically, like Beltran-Trejo and Alvarado, Diaz-Rivera may be in Mexico. But California being listed as a possibility gives some hope he can be caught in the states as well.
