From NBC 4 San Antonio (news4sanantonio.com):
One year after a South San High School student's murder, police are urging the public to speak up if they know anything about what happened to Abigail Alcorta.
"Were just, you know, praying. Praying that eventually something comes up. That’s all we ask – just to speak up," said Christian Alcorta, Abigail's brother.
Alcorta, 18, was shot while sitting in a car along Fairshire, near Five Palms Drive, on February 3, 2019. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
Christian will never forget the pain he felt when he discovered she was gone.
“I couldn’t move. I couldn’t feel my legs. I was just numbed. I couldn’t get up the stairs. I was just pretty much in shock," said Alcorta.
His little sister, who was the 'baby' of the family, was so excited to wear her prom dress in a few months.
"That’s all she was talking about how I want that dress, I want that dress! I really want to look beautiful in that dress," said
She was deprived of that opportunity and the cold-blooded killer to took it from her is still on the loose.
"She didn’t get to enjoy that dress," said Alcorta. "That dress was the perfect dress for her and she looked very beautiful."
Last February, her family buried her in that dress.
“It’s tough seeing your dad, your mom, cry every. It’s very frustrating," said Alcorta. "It’s real painful. It’s an experience I don’t wish on anybody."
In the year since her death, no arrests have been made. On Monday, Crime Stoppers offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of her suspected killer.
If you have any information that may help the San Antonio Police Department, call 210-224-STOP.
