Can't wait to see that myself. Doesn't look like it yet but I'm hoping for the extreme long shot scenario where AMW is involved!

Rats! It would have been a long shot but I'm getting so desperate even the littlest sign has me hopeful. I hope AMW still mentions his capture even though it now is apparently officially indirect, since it is a USMS top 15 case. It still baffles me how they mentioned Edward Salas on their website, and Felipe Torrealba on Facebook and not Jose Saenz, even though all three were indirect, and Saenz was a bigger case than the other two (I guess an argument could be somewhat made for Edward Salas). Then again, it annoys me when they do that and Facebook posters tell AMW what a great job they did at an indirect capture, and I feel like yelling "He's not an AMW capture you idiots, AMW is an amazing show that does do a great job at catching bad guys but in this case they're just sharing some good news! Do you see a capture number there?!!" (sorry, cranky this morning ) Glad to see he's caught though, and glad to see another spot open on the USMS top 15 list!

Torres has been removed. Not even an indirect capture report. Apparently they thought Felipe Torrealba was a bigger capture. *smh*

And now they've added him back. They did this before with Jose Saenz and Robert Drawn and it confuses the hell out of me.

He's been removed again. My assumption is going to be Torres fell victim to AMW being busy for *some reason* as their facebook posts have decreased lately. I take it if he had been captured back in December or January when the only thing filmed was a brief segment for JWI, he might have got an indirect mention on the amw.com website at least. A bit off-topic, but if you notice they haven't even mentioned the new additions to the FBI Top 10 and USMS top 15 yet which they're usually pretty quick about. Felipe Torrealba got captured at a better time.

An Italian human rights group is trying to block the extradition of Miguel Torres because Pennsylvania has the death penalty. Even though the DA in the case in PA has already said he won't seek the death penalty, they want reassurances. All I can say is... oy vey. They aren't going to promise not to seek to death penalty only to backtrack because of the *bleep* storm that would create. Not to mention family members already stated they are ok with Torres rotting in prison instead. Me and Czar have often said we wish the U.S. could promise to meet a country's demands and then do what we want back when they're in our country anyway but obviously it could ruin us for future fugitive extraditions. Although it is too bad Torres can't get death. My personal view on the death penalty is I'm generally opposed to using it because of the many wrongfully convicted once DNA sets them free, but I'm not opposed to having the death penalty, for every now and then there is a case that it is the only appropriate punishment (kind of off-topic but for instance if Yaser Said ever gets captured it is a slam-dunk death penalty case imo). Torres cold-bloodedly shot his wife in broad daylight in a public parking lot. I'd give him death if I could. But ce'st la vie, Italy wants life, and he can rot instead. This group can go bleep themselves. Thanks to zekcat for the link! readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=463753

Miguel Torres has finally been extradited from Italy back to Pennsylvania. Apparently the courts were satisfied the death penalty would not be sought. The article also confirms what we were wondering. He initially fled to the Dominican Republic and then to Italy: readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=519912

We'll see what happens. Perhaps it is hard to get a fair and impartial trial in the same County when multiple witnesses in broad daylight saw him, heard the victim yelling "Mikey no!" and then heard gunshots. *smh*

The trial's going on now. From what I read, the eyewitnesses are the keys to this case. Obviously a trial is different from what's reported but I still feel there is overwhelming evidence- this happening right after Torres places the newspaper ad, the fact he's the only person we've heard of with a motive to kill Barbara West-Torres, and as stated before I can swear reading articles that mentioned witnesses stating they heard "Mikey no!" Oh yeah and going on the run for 7 years also doesn't make yourself look good. I've also read Miguel Torres is going to testify on his own behalf. Which I feel is a brilliant move by the Defense- Torres guilty or not is a former real-estate agent and businessman. He will likely be able to present himself very well. They're not stupid... www.wfmz.com/news/news-regional-berks/miguel-torres-trial-jurors-hear-from-victims-family-visit-homicide-scene/30970526

Ok- found the vimeo re-enactment which has "Mike no" in the re-enactment and I also found the article with a witness who heard "Mikey". Also, the re-enactment recounts the history of Torres's alleged physical abuse. vimeo.com/49109921

I can swear reading articles that mentioned witnesses stating they heard "Mikey no!" I think during Torres' initial profile, one of the detectives testified to this as well.
