I'm a big believer of innocent until proven guilty. But the circumstantial evidence, a bunch of witnesses hearing "Mikey no" which really made the loan shark named "Anibal" laughable, a bunch of incriminating items purchased on Miguel's credit card at a local Wal-Mart two hours before the murder and the fact he went on the run in the first place- it was overwhelming. My only concern was the fact Miguel Torres took the stand in his own-defense, he's a businessman, he would know how to fake confidence and look believable, but thankfully it was such a bs story the jury didn't buy it no matter how well-presented he looked (if he even did, since there apparently were no cameras in the courtroom).
Great decision by the jury. Glad to see this madman is likely going to prison for the rest of his miserable life.

Torres has been sentenced to life without parole! He addressed the court and STILL proclaims his innocence. Alright Mikey, continue doing that despite "Mikey no!" being heard at the crime scene, despite the trial being held in another county to get you a "fair trial" and despite that Jury which wasn't even in your county and had no reason to be biased convicting you based on the evidence, continue proclaiming your innocence. Denial is not just a river in Egypt. Accept responsibility for your actions, and hopefully one day you can actually apologize to Barbara West-Torres's family for YOUR actions, not your imaginary friend named Anibal, your actions and yours alone. www.wfmz.com/news/news-regional-berks/miguel-torres-sentenced-to-life-after-again-proclaiming-innocence/31695280
