Renton and Blanusa advance to Round 2.
More double homicides solved by AMW in '989 and '990
John P Eastlack, #67, Spt 11, 1989 A diagnosed former booze baby. In Tucson, Arizona, he was serving 9 years for fraud. Around the turn of September 1989, he escaped. 3 days later, he murdered an elderly couple. Just over a week after the murders, a tipster busted him in El Paso, Texas. He was sentenced to life in prison. During a jailhouse interview, he said of America's Most Wanted, "It's a damn good show. I mean, it caught me!"
vs
Roberto Contreras Urbaez, #77, Oct 1, 1989 In January 1988, he got in a violent argument with his ex-girlfriend in Washington, DC, that quickly escalated to the point where Urbaez blew her and her brother away with a shotgun. He was busted in San Diego, California and is now serving 47 years in prison.
and
Minh "Tony Playboy" Duytong Nguyen, #93, Jnr 22, 1990 A Vietnamese gang banger who shot up a Houston, Texas sandwich shop. His casualty toll was 2 dead, 3 wounded. He was busted in Michigan.
vs
Paul Clarence Bolin, #91, Jnr 7, 1990 In September 1989, he shot up a marijuana farm east of Bakersfield, California. His casualty toll was 2 dead, 1 wounded. He was busted in Illinois and condemned to death.
My votes go to John P Eastlack and Tony Playboy. Eastlack got the book thrown at him, and was impressed that AMW busted him. And Duytong-Nguyen because he had 2 more wounded than Bolin, and a sandwich shop is more public than a marijuana farm, so there was more risk of innocent people getting hurt.

I also vote for Eastlack and Playboy. I'm still waiting for a matchup where I disagree! LOL.

Eastlack and Duytong-Nguyen advance.
More fugitives suspected in 2 deaths, 3 of these were on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted.
Stanley Faison, #38, Dcb 24, 1988 A Detroit drug conspiracy doorman on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list. In 1965, he bludgeoned a man to death and stole his car. In June of 1987, he stabbed a fellow drug dealer to death. On Christmas Eve 1988, he was busted in Detroit, Michigan, unarmed underneath a bed.
vs
Steven Ray Stout, #34, Dcb 6, 1988 In January 1988, in Utah, he broke into a woman's home. When her 19 year old daughter returned home from work, he murdered both of them using a knife, a ball-peen hammer, and a Pepsi bottle. He was added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list a few months later. And a few months after THAT, an AMW tipster busted him working as a handyman in Gulfport, Mississippi.
and
John "Jack" Darrell Farmer, #12, May 30, 1988 The head of Chicago's "Little Mafia" and one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted fugitives. He was a person of interest in 2 murders. When he was held on other charges related to the Little Mafia, he bound and gagged his defence attorney and fled an Illinois prison. He was busted in Illinois, working in a local food store warehouse.
vs
Felipe Concepcion and Thomas Cross, #98/#99, Mrc 4/Mrc 8, 1990 Concepcion was a convicted robber and parole violator. They were both wanted for a drug related shooting in a Bronx apartment. The casualties were 2 dead, 1 wounded. They were also sought for questioning in a 3rd murder and an unrelated kidnapping. Concepcion was busted in Connecticut, and Cross was busted in Indiana.
These are much harder. Stanley Faison committed one of his 2 murders way back in the '60s, while Stout murdered 2 defenceless women. Farmer was an organized crime alpha, but Concepcion and Cross had a higher casualty toll. I might have to reserve my vote until I see something more convincing.

These matchups will be interesting. For the first one I'm going to vote for Stanley Faison. Main reason being is that he was a repeat murderous offender and in my mind probably was the bigger threat to society overall. Although Stout was almost as bad in my opinion. For the second one I'm going to vote for Concepcion and Cross for the total list of charges/suspected crimes. I can't find much info on Farmer's "Little Mafia" so I'm unsure what other crimes his organization committed.

I vote for Stout and Farmer. I'd like to respectfully disagree with HeadMarshal about Faison being the bigger threat. He had one crime from 1965 and his last victim was a drug dealer. Stout attacked two innocent women. I think the general public especially women were more at risk with Stout. I give Farmer the slight edge because in addition to being a mafia fugitive caught by AMW, he also was on the FBI's top 10 list, so he wins due to notoriety.

I guess I'll also vote for Stanley Faison and John "Jack" Darrell Farmer. They'll advance to round 2.
Gregory Scarpa Jr, #21, Ags 29, 1988 The son of a New York City Columbo crime capo. He was charged with kidnapping, drug trafficking, extortion, and worst of all, 2 murders. A notorious organized crime higher-up, though not to the degree of his father. Busted in New Jersey.
vs
Emilio Bravo, #80, Spt 22, 1989 In January 1987, he killed 2 men in Dade County, Florida, and got a life sentence. He escaped prison, only to fall for a drug sting. He was busted in Los Angeles, California, after a hostage crisis where he held another cop in jail. He's serving at least 2 life sentences.
and
Michael Douglas Taylor, #49, May 20, 1989 In California, he killed a jeweler and broke out of prison. After his escape, he kidnapped and tried to sexually murder a woman, but she survived. He then robbed 8 shoe stores and gas stations, then robbed some jewelry stores and fenced the jewels. He was busted in South Dakota. He was sentenced to life plus 1/4 century.
vs
James Edward Noel, #97, Fbr 26, 1990 After being charged with raping at least 5 women, he was paroled. In October 1989, he killed a woman in Los Angeles after failing in his attempts to rape her. The victim was an apartment manager whose co-manager eventually became the infamous Hollywood Madam. He was busted in California and is now serving life with no chance of parole. The eventual Hollywood Madam was later given an interview where she talked at length about her late friend.
My votes go to Gregory Scarpa Jr and James Edward Noel. Scarpa was a notorious crime higher-up whose charges, besides 2 murders, included kidnapping and extortion. Second, Noel and Michael Douglas Taylor were wanted for sex crimes and committed one homicide each, but Noel's charges included more sex crimes. Plus Noel killed the Hollywood Madam's former co-manager of that apartment from way back when.

I Voted for Gregory Scarpa Jr. Because, he is one dangeous Mob Fugitive since J. Whitney Bulger, They wrote a book about him and his mob group, and I also voted for James Edward Noel a Dangerous Rapist turned Murderer who quickly taken off the streets thanks to the quick thinking AMW's Viewers.

Scarpa and Noel for the reasons mentioned.

Scarpa and Noel advance by a 4 - 0 shut-out!
Paul Steven Mack, #3, Mrc 22, 1988 In 1987, he used pain killers to drug and rape a California beauty pageant champion. In order to finish her off, he deliberately overdosed her. It's likely he committed a similar sexual murder in Marion, Ohio. He was busted in Utah.
vs
Steven Ray Allen, #62, Ags 12, 1989 In December 1986, he abused and strangled his girlfriend's 3 year old son in Utah. In November 1987, he shot a man to death in a stolen property dispute in California. He was busted in Ravalli County, Idaho, roaming the mountains on a horse, badly malnourished. He got life in prison for the two killings.
and
Karl "Fabulous" Dunstrom, Steven McMillian, and Kirk Bruce, #4/#5/#6, Apl 9/Apl 15, 1988 In January 1988, these three people burst into an apartment in Landover, Maryland with machine guns, sprayed bullets, and assassinated 5 crack gang members in a drug war dispute. Previously, in late November 1987, Dunstrom had also murdered a 17 year old boy in NYC. Dunstrom was busted in a basement in NYC after a brief struggle on April 9, 1988. On April 15, McMillian and Bruce were busted at McMillian's mother's house.
vs
Fernando Garcia, #17, Ags 2, 1988 A convicted child abuser. In August 1987, he was babysitting a 3 year old girl in Dallas, TX. He raped her, tried to eat her alive, and beat her over the head before strangling her to death. He was busted working in an auto repair shop in Bangor, Maine. He was convicted and condemned to death, but the sentence was later commuted to life in prison.
These are almost as hard as that other round. Paul Steven Mack committed at least one, likely two, sexual murders. Steven Ray Allen killed 2 people, including a toddler. Dunstrom was responsible for 6 murders, including that of a teenage boy. Fernando Garcia sexually murdered a child, one of the youngest victims in the capture roster, after trying to eat her alive. I might want to defer my vote until I hear more convincing points.

Tough choices. For the first one, my votes for Allen for the fact that he has two confirmed victims, one of them a 3 year-old.
The second one is very difficult. Dunstrom was responsible for 6 murders, but the 5 were drug gang members. Garcia raped and brutally murdered a 3 year-old. I'm going to vote for Garcia for the sheer brutality of the murder.

Tough but I vote Allen for the first for the reason Czar stated. Second despite them killing drug people, they also killed a 17-year old boy and was the first triple/multiple capture in AMW history so I vote for the Dunstrom trio.

First off I vote for Allen for reasons already stated.
Second one was really hard I must admit. There was a very good chance of all four of these fugitives committing further violent crimes if they weren't located, however I vote for Dunstrom/McMillian/Bruce for their five-six count death total.

My votes will go to Steven Ray Allen and Karl "Fabulous" Dunstrom. Thus, they advance!
Seymour Pinckney, #79, Oct 22, 1989 For years, he'd beaten and molested his common-law wife's 4 young daughters. In 1978, he killed his common-law wife and the eldest stepdaughter in New Jersey. After 11 years, this prolific child molester turned family destroyer was busted in Mathews Court House, Virginia.
vs
Joseph Kindler, #23, Spt 6, 1988 AMW's first capture outside the United States. In 1984, he murdered an 18 year old crime witness in Pennsylvania and was condemned to death. He managed to flee justice, then got re-arrested on other charges in Quebec, Canada. In 1986, he killed his cellmate and escaped the Quebec prison. He'd managed to land a job in St. John, Canada, but his co-workers were terrified of him when they saw him on AMW, so they called in the tip and busted him.
and
Hector "Tombstone" Fragoso Burgueno, #47, Apl 21, 1989 In Sonora, Mexico, he killed a man for drug-related reasons, then kidnapped, tortured, and murdered 11 witnesses. He was a person of interest in a quintuple murder in Tucson, Arizona, but was never charged in that case. He was busted in a rural district of Pima County, Arizona. Convicted in Mexico, he got a slap to the wrist; a 3 decade sentence with rumors of temporary release privileges for holidays.
vs
Pedro Luis Estrada, #73, Oct 1, 1989 A former professional boxer on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list. In 1985, he was involved in drug trafficking and robberies. From May to August 1986, he shot 7 people dead in drug contract hits. He was busted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, unarmed where his parents were staying.
The first one was easy enough. Seymour Pinckney had committed some somewhat violent sex crimes against his daughters-in-law, then went on to kill one of the molestation victims and their mother. I vote for him for the sex crime factor. The second one was a little harder. Fragoso-Burgueno had a higher death toll, and tortured most of his victims before killing them, but he got a slap to the wrist. Pedro Luis Estrada was a former pro boxer, and held a position of special dishonor on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted. I'll flip a coin. If heads, Tombstone. If tails, Estrada. Aaand... tails!
